Picture: Two colour forms of Scilla peruviana: the typical blue of the wild species and the white-flowered form. The lax, strappy foliage of this vigorous bulbous plant from south-west Europe and West Africa tends to lay on the ground. The flower heads, which open from late spring, contain up to 100 blooms.
